The Friday Drifters roll up runs most Fridays with a start time usually around 10am. Entry is open to all male members and there is a fee of £3 each time a player plays. There are prizes for individuals, a single team and any Magic Two's. The roll up runs its own custom handicap system though for their first appearance a new player will play off two below their Yellow Course  Handicap rounded down to the nearest whole number.

Entry opens on the preceding Saturday at 9.00am and closes at 5pm on the following Wednesday. After this the draw is shown on the website. Any subsequent late entries or pull outs should immediately inform the organiser.

Play is according to the R&A rules of golf including any current local rules using Stableford scoring off your roll up handicap. In the wetter months we may play preferred lies out to the tree line in which case play will not be qualifying unless a player chooses to play to the R&A rules and hands in a General Play score card.  If the course is qualifying the organiser inputs the players’ gross scores to IG as qualifying for WHS handicap purposes. Play will be off the Yellow tees or, occasionally the White tees.

If you are new to the club or are a seasoned member you are most welcome to join us while the organiser, Nigel Baxter, will gladly help with your queries. There is no need to be a regular member though we would love to see players as often as they can. There is an excellent "craic" at the end of the day's play.
